I don't have much on this family. Mary Havens was the daughter of Howard and Catherine (STRICKLAND) HAVENS. She was born about 1872/73 in Ohio, and married John M. ROSS before 1889.

services for Alva Martin Ross, 79, of Hughes, who died Friday
at Wilburotn were held Saturday in the First Baptist Church in
LeFlore with Rev. Green of Hartshorne officiating. Burial was in the LeFlore Cemetery under the direction of Evans Funeral Home. He is survived by four sons, Earl ROSS, LeFlore; Lonnie ROSS, LeFlore; James ROSS, Red Oak; and Floyd ROSS, Fanshawe; three daughters: Pearl HARRIS, Dallas, Tex.; Irene ADAMS, Red Oak; and Maggie BRANCH, Red Oak; two grandchildren, raised in the home. Shirley DUNCAN, Fanshawe, and Leon STOCKTON, Houston, Tex.; two brothers, Clarence and Elmer ROSS, LeFlore; 29 grandchildren and 31 great-grandchildren. |

ROSS, 69, died June 13 following a heart attack. She was
rushed to Poteau hospital by ambulance but was pronounced dead
on arrival. Services were held 2 p.m. Tuesday in the LeFlore Baptist Church. Burial was in LeFlore cemetery by Evans Funeral home. Mrs. ROSS was born Feb. 29, 1895, in Oklahoma. Survivors include her husband, Alva ROSS of the home at Red Oak; four sons, Floyd, James and Lonnie of Red Oak and Earl of LeFlore; three daughters, Pearl HARRIS of Dallas, Irene ADAMS and Maggie BRANCH of Red Oak; also two grandchildren reared by Mrs. ROSS from infancy, Shirley DUNCAN and Leon STOCKTON; a brother, John HAYNES of Poteau. Other survivors include 25 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren." |

Services for Lonnie Ivan ROSS, 56, Wister, who died Sunday at
the LeFlore County Memorial Hospital, were held Wednesday
morning at the Evans Chapel of Memories with Rev. Jack NEWSOM
officiating. Burial was in the Leflore Cemetery. Born Feb. 10, 1926 at Leflore, he was a rancher and a World War II veteran along with being a lifelong resident of this area. He was employed by the Wister School District. He is survived by his wife, Mary; one daughter, Sharon BRANSCUM of Hughes; one son, Lonnie Mac ROSS of Red Oak, and four granddaughters, Mary, Michelle, Gina and Shawna." |
